What is Fantasy American Football
Basics of playing Fantasy Football leagues
The League. Needed to compete against others (6-12) say, even numbers for regular head to head.
The Commissioner. Decides constitution, rules, and makes all final decisions.
Scoring. Knowing how scoring operates is essential to choosing a team to optimise performance.
Players. Play 7 players at start (One quarter back, two running backs, two wide receivers, one tight end and one kicker). Total players in team can be 15-17. Defense teams can also take a part, similarly coaches, depending on the complexity of the game.
Draft. How players are acquired, one player at a time for a team, with schemes for evening up selection or like (Rotisserie Baseball) bidding with dollars within a fixed (capped) budget.
Schedule. Head to heads with playoffs, 4-6 teams per Division, followed by Superbowl.
Counting scores. Result based on head-to-head scores, can be done yourself. Software products and services available.
Transactions. Trade of players may be allowed throughout the season plus free agents, various rules controlling this.
