A love for your sport, a good working knowledge of that sport at any level and an interest in helping others to find information on the sport are the main requirements. Depending on your level of knowledge, you could be a librarian for a league, such as Premier Soccer,  for a section of that sport such as Youth Cricket or for a sport at National or World level.
 
Having someone to contact to discuss content of a page in the Virtual Library or to answer questions sent in by readers to the library by email is a great asset to the manager in maintaining the Library. If  anyone wants to get more involved, for example creating a new section for the library, there are lots of opportunities.

• All Librarians are named at the top of the page or section that they are advising on, along with their website
• We rely on librarians to advise us on the
  structure of a page or section - what subject headings need to be used for the particular sport-   and on the
  content -the best resource links for each section
• Currently I create and edit the information, but that will change when our new website, complete with a content management system,  is available
• We like Librarians to help us with questions sent in by our visitors. These are vetted first and librarians can hide their identities, if required.
