Disc Golf Assoc Disc Golf Association (DGA) is the founding
company of the Disc Golf. The roots of the sport begin with "Steady" Ed
Headrick, the founder of DGA and the driving force responsible for the
modern day era of Disc sports. Before starting the DGA, Ed donated the
DGA Trademark "Disc Golf" to the public domain and went on to
standardize the sport of disc golf. Ed Headrick is also commonly
remembered for his invention of the Modern day FrisbeeŽ for Wham-OŽ toys
as well as being the inventor of the supper ball. Steady" Ed Headrick
founded the Professional Disc Golf Association (PDGA) and organized the
first disc golf tournaments. Upon his death, Headrick was cremated and
his ashes were made into a limited number of discs per his wishes. The
discs were given to friends and family and are sold with all proceeds
from the sales going to a non-profit fund for the "Steady" Ed Memorial
Disc Golf Museum at the PDGA International Disc Golf Center in, Georgia.
