Scuba diving

balenaSCUBA (Self Contained Underwater Breathing Apparatus) Diving is a popular recreational, underwater activity made possible by providing breathing gas, usually air. The equipment used is either an ‘open circuit’ Aqualung or a ‘closed circuit’ Re-breather in which exhaled gas is recycled. Although there are obvious commercial applications in Scuba Diving, the numerous recreational activities (cave diving, wreck diving, marine surveys, underwater photography, nautical archaeology etc) dominate the internet and there are many centres providing such opportunities all round the world. Safety is clearly a key factor, with courses also available all round the world to controlled standards.
